And, once again, no one even bothers to find out if Trump’s “unfavorables” are really political “unfavorables” or something else.

They are media unfavorables of a “villain” the way the “Undertaker” or J. R. Ewing or Richard Petty had “unfavorables”-—then people bought the action toys, the jackets or watched the show.

These polls are meaningless. Just wait till Trump starts calling out Hillary on her real past and not throwing those softballs like the main stream Clinton fawning media.

I can’t believe this is the best America can do. The good people in this country want nothing to do with politics. The “media” scum not only trash those running for office, they trash their families also. This is the new Amerika we built.

I didn’t build it.

It doesn't matter if you can't get 20 points in Florida, Virginia and Ohio in the GOP primary

You are not an nominee who can win in the General , Ted Cruz

If Trump is the GOP nominee and more Paris/Brussels-type attacks occur between now and the general election, I think people will change their views of Trump.

I notice there’s no net fav/unfav for Cruz, just Trump and Clinton. Of course a lot of people don’t really know much about Cruz compared to Trump. That would change pretty fast if he was somehow the nominee.

And this does not even consider the Obama fatigue factor.

But I know, never bother the poll worshipers with the flaws in theridata. Facts challenge the dogma, and of course for them, it is “dogma uber alles”.

When your own party drums up added unfavorables, it doesn’t help.

Once Trump wins the nomination, the negatives will reverse.

If people didn’t see his own party bashing him every time they turn on the TV and “conservative media” writing hate articles every day, that could change.

Most people aren’t paying a lot of attention. When they do they find out that Donald is Hitler and Donald loves the KKK and Donald is going to destroy America - not from democrats but from republicans.

Republicans may want to start talking up their preferred candidate (Cruz, Kasich, Romney) rather that destroying the leading candidate if they don’t want Trump. Try to win by getting votes rather than chasing them away.

Bears repeating.

Current candidates aside, there has been a consistent decline in the quality of people running for public service. America has many talented and bright people. Yet we have not been electing them for office.

Who would want to expose themselves to the public debacle that we call a vetting process unless one was hopelessly driven by power?

Again, before everyone starts ragging on this comment, I make it excluding current candidates.
