I understand your sarcasm, but being familiar with the contempt that the French have for Belgians ( "Tu est Belge, alors!" ) it is obviously justified.

When the French demanded that the terrorist be returned to France after being captured, the Belgians demurred, claiming the necessity to assure the killer's rights...
