Real-estate mogul Donald Trump suggested in a Tuesday interview that the capitals of France and Belgium have been adversely affected by the lack of "assimilation" from their Muslim residents.
Fox Business Network anchor Maria Bartiromo asked Trump about the practicality of his plan to bar Muslim immigrants and tourists from the US, given the size of the world's Muslim population.
"There is something going on, Maria," Trump replied. "Go to Brussels. Go to Paris. Go to different places. There is something going on and it's not good, where they want Sharia law, where they want this, where they want things that you know there has to be some assimilation. There is no assimilation. There is something bad going on."
The Republican presidential front-runner said Brussels, the capital of Belgium, had been particularly transformed. Belgium has been home to a number of recent terror plots, and was linked to the November attack on Paris, France, that left 130 people dead.
"You go to Brussels I was in Brussels a long time ago, 20 years ago, so beautiful, everything is so beautiful it's like living in a hellhole right now," Trump continued. "You go to these different places. There is something going on."
Trump ignited a national firestorm last month when he proposed a temporary ban on Muslim immigration and tourist travel to the US. The business mogul argued that such a hard-line approach was necessary to keep the US safe from terrorism, but critics questioned the effectiveness and legality of the proposal.

Same here in Sweden; at first " we cannot be certain it is a terror attack". Then "we don't know who is behind this attack", and now when ISIS has "claimed" the attack, we are back to "not all muslims/immigrants/arabs....(pick your progressive liberal taste of the day)".
Same as after every terror attack. They don't change their tune.
Predictable. Pathetic.
I was last in Brussels 10 years ago when I worked for a large European based bank that had a significant Commercial and Retail banking presence here in the midwest.
I'll tell you all point blank: at that time Brussels was a filthy, dirty city. Garbage in the streets, a grime on literally everything. It was like the entire city needed a good powerwash and scrub down. "Immigrant rights" groups were protesting in the streets daily disrupting literally everything. Frankly, it reminded me of New York City during the David Dinkins era.
It was THAT bad.
Something Going On,,,,
back to to Trumps violent rallies .
Donald in Office,,,
NOT SOON ENOUGH !
Speaking about France closing the border between France and Belgium- I just heard them say “Could you imagine if the U.S. closed one of it’s borders?” Steve Doocey was holding back, because he looked like he wanted to scream.
Mormon hierarchy control the caucus, but the state government has given the people a second method to vote — thru the Internet. Granted the company is connected to Soros. ( which will give the elders ground to yell fraud). MY guess is Trump will do much better in the state because of that more private method to vote than the church leaders have dictated
Ding, ding, ding - we have a thread winnah!
Prescient Trump again. He devoted a good chunk of his 2000 book, The America We Deserve, to the topic of stopping the serious and growing threat of terrorism. The world may have been noticeably different if he had become president in 2000, rather than someone who insisted (as does our current president) that this sort of non-stop, global Islamic terrorism has nothing to do with Islam.
LITTLE CHILD: “Mommy why do they always call Mr. Trump a Mogul, what does it mean”?
LIBERAL MOM: “Because he’s a member of the Muslim dynasty of Indian emperors, a Mongol and a very bad person, honey”
Exactly
