The He-Man Trump Haters Club (The "Third Way" Equals Voting for Hillary)
American Thinker ^ | 20 Mar 16 | Clarice Feldman

Watching the efforts to stop Donald Trump run through the primaries to the convention this week, I was reminded of the Our Gang “He-Man Woman Haters Club” where Spanky and his friends embark on a futile effort to keep the members from ever falling in love with a girl.

How much of the anti-Trump conservative animus is motivated by Not of our Class snobbery and how much by the knowledge that a lot of D.C. rice bowls might be smashed by Trump is hard to say, but I think Newt Gingrich’s observation deserves serious consideration:

“I think it’s pretty simple. If you want to help elect Hillary Clinton, and you want to make sure that the unionized bureaucracies are totally in control, and you want to have a radical Supreme Court to finish eliminating our liberties, then play games like this. But that’s what they are: They’re games,” Gingrich tells Breitbart News Executive Chairman and SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon on Breitbart News Daily.

There are two choices in America,” Gingrich said. “There’s the choice that accepts the continued decay and continued radicalization of Americans. That’s the Hillary Clinton road. And there’s the choice that says no, we need an alternative, and that’s the Donald Trump road.”

“But there’s not a third choice,” Gingrich warned:

And these people who the self-important definers of America, who are telling us about this fancy third choice, they make no sense at all. They ought to at least be honest and say to people: “You know, I’d rather have Hillary Clinton than the Republican nominee.” Because that’s what they’re doing. They ought to just form “Lost Republicans for Hillary” and be honest about the effect of what they’re doing

Hillary had a 20 point lead on sanders in. Michigan according to pollsters. Something changed that dynamic. Sanders won. Reagan was losing to Carter at this point in 80. Carter won, right?

Trump won’t play by the rules in any debate with Clinton. He’s a wild card and they know it.

The establishment truly hates trump. They want to stay on their gravy train.

Are you seriously advocating for John “I am to the left of Hillary Clinton” Kasich?

Really?

Pitiful.

Suppose Cruz wins the nomination during the second or subsequent delegate votes - will you spread the message that not voting for Cruz is a vote for Hillary?

I will support either Trump or Cruz, whichever one gets the nomination. I would like other FReepers to take the same pledge.

Maybe it has something to do with the presentation style of Richard Simmons.

Everyone keeps telling me the Trump is a liberal, and that Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are more conservative than him (no joking about this part read here). I'm so confused. /sarc

Your linked comment by another FReeper doesn't support your characterization.

The poster meant only that Trump is not a conservative (not what we in here would call one). Tea Party Express is conservative, various Tea Party orgs are conservative; NGOA is conservative; Promise Keepers is conservative; Media Research Center (Bozell) is conservative; Pamela Geller is conservative; Eagle Forum is conservative. Lots of people and NGO's are conservative. Trump isn't really -- he's a cafeteria diner, in the sense of "cafeteria Catholics", an eclectic non-liberal, non-Prog, non-neoStalinist.

The one thing that makes me nervous about Trump is that 45-minute phone call he made to Slick before he went out and made his announcement he was running.

Bill Clinton likes to work on the phone when setting up his most notorious plays. When getting serviced by Monica Lewinsky, he was on the phone. When working in the shadows to sabotage George W. Bush's second term with the "Katrina" play, he worked exclusively by phone via James Carville, who passed Clinton's advice to Sen. Mary Landrieu, who in turn steered Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco to frustrate and lead on Pres. Bush's FEMA team to a complete fiasco, which the MSM then blamed exclusively on Bush and his FEMA director, ignoring the parts played by Mayor Nagin, Gov. Blanco, Sen. Landreiu, James Carville, and the Man Behind the Curtain.

Clinton likes to create disasters and blame them on other people, taking full advantage of his media shills and saps.

That is why any considerable contact between any political player and Bill Clinton is acute cause for concern, that Clinton is using intermediaries to hurt, damage, or defame anyone, any group, and anything between Beastwoman and the White House.

I will vote for Trump or Cruz provided they win by current rules.

Bump. The only thing I worry about is a) Trump can't beat Hillary or b) Trump's playing the disruptor to wreck the GOP, hand in glove with Slick. I hate to be a nervous nelly, but I really worry about that. Slick is that devious. He's Satan.
