Mitt Romney took his willingness to support Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz one step further by recording robocalls for the Texas senator.
In the calls, first reported by The Daily Caller, Romney encourages voters in Arizona and Utah to support Cruz. A call targeting Arizona voters was released today and another call will begin ringing in Utah homes tomorrow. Both Utah and Arizona will hold nominating contests tomorrow.
“I’m calling to ask you to join me in supporting Ted Cruz for president this Tuesday in the Utah Republican caucuses. This is the time for Republicans across the spectrum to unite behind Ted,” Romney says in the call targeting Utah voters. "And at this point, a vote for John Kasich is a vote for Donald Trump.”
The calls follow a Facebook post released late last week in which Romney revealed he would be supporting Cruz in the Utah caucuses. Romney, the former Republican presidential nominee, has been a prominent face in the efforts by Republicans to stop Trump.

I hope Romney’s robocalls work as well for Cruz as they did for Rubio.

Does Romney want to be VP? What is in it for Romney? He sure did not put up nearly as big a fight when he ran against B. Obama. I haven't heard him speak out against Obama's misdeeds, haven't him say much about Hillary. But when it comes to Trump he looses his cool, goes into rage in what seems to be personal hatred even though Trump supported him in 2012.
Correct me if I’m wrong: Wasn’t he the last Republican presidential nominee? Would you have had a problem with Barry Goldwater recording calls for Richard Nixon in 1968 or Bob Dole endorsing Bush in 2000?

Cruz will do fine in Utah, home of Glen Beck. He might get a few delegates here and there but he is just about through gathering delegates . He is facing political doom from New York to California where he will get ZERO.
