“Operators”? I thought FBI types were “agents”. This is that silly military attitude again. Also note the use of the term “rules of engagement”? That is not a law enforcement term. Law enforcement rules on use of force are well codified in law and in the resulting court rulings. Rules of engagement is a military term reflecting that their rules can be adapted depending on national policy.
This was an FBI, HRT military attack, run like a roadblock in the middle east. Those agents (not operators) should be ashamed.

This situation is such a clear violation of the first Amendment. All Freedom Loving Americans should be outraged.

Some might say there is a religious component, both LaVoy Finicum and the Bundy’s are Mormon. I am not convinced that has much to do with the issue. It is just a side-note but Christians are under attack with the current administration.
They were exercising their right to Free Speech, even if it is offensive to some that doesn’t prohibit their right to say it.
They were Peaceably assembling with other like minded citizens.
They were petitioning the Government for redress of grievances-Free the Hammonds, stop the abuse of the BLM, the Forest Service, the FBI and other government agencies in general. (Through an Act of Civil Disobedience.)
This is the truth of what they were doing. Just because the “authorities” have tried to portray them as domestic terrorists does not make it so.

Both of your posts are spot on. For whatever reason, perhaps the FBI HRT has many recent additions that actually were tier 1, the way they handled this situation was inexcusable. It was CLEARLY set up as an ambush, and unfortunately, they most likely achieved their desired outcome, that is, making an example of Finicum. The video taken from inside the truck, with visual and audio of the rounds hitting the windows and body of the truck, is very very bad news for those who designed this domestic operation. Let’s hope and pray that justice will prevail.
