MOST people would be upset to be at the center of an agitated national debate about whether they were more like Hitler, Mussolini, Idi Amin, George Wallace or a Marvel villain.
Not Donald Trump.
He doesnt like invidious comparisons but hes cool with being called an authoritarian.
We need strength in this country, he told me Friday morning, speaking from his Fifth Avenue office. We have weak leadership. Hillary is pathetically weak.
She got us into Libya and she got us into Benghazi and shes probably got 40 eggheads sitting around a table telling her what to do, and then she was sleeping when the phone call came in from the ambassador begging for help. You know, the 3 a.m. phone call?
I asked the brand baron if hes concerned that his brand has gone from fun to scary, from glittery New York celebrity to S.N.L. skits about him featuring allusions to the K.K.K. and Hitler. He blamed a disgustingly dishonest press.
I wondered about ex-wife Ivana telling her lawyer, according to Vanity Fair, that Trump kept a book of Hitlers speeches by his bed. Or the talk in New York that in the 90s he was reading Mein Kampf. Nein, he said. I never had the book, he said. I never read the book. I dont care about the book.
All over town, even in the building where Im writing this column, freaked-out Republicans are plotting how to rip the nomination from Trumps hot little hands.
How does it feel to be labeled a menace, misogynist, bigot and xenophobe by your own party? Honestly, he replied, Im with the people. The people like Trump.
Since he prefers to rely on himself for policy advice, is he seeking out expert help on the abstruse delegate rules?

I always post the exact title, including punctuation. Why would anyone change it?
Do you have a problem with that?
Elizabeth Warren is definitely waiting in the wings. All the attention is on the Republican convention for shenanigans, and they will no doubt be tried, but just wait for the democrat snakes to slither into one big den.
13 minute video reveals that Trump “GETS IT.”
This is why the oligarchs are suffering embarrassing bouts of public diurnal enuresis.
There will be MANY MORE attempts on Trump and his family. I just pray they FAIL and the criminals responsible face justice (but I’m not holding my breath).
I haven’t been an Alex Jones fan as his stuff tends toward the sensational. That said, hearing that there REALLY IS a plan in place to take over the world can be rather sensational to folks who hear it for the first time and/or suffer severe guilt for knowing it — and have done nothing to resist while knowing that their children and grandchildren will be denied the birthright THEY inherited!
Now — thanks to Trump — that that plan is becoming clear to millions of folks, Jones is becoming more mainstream every day.
Here is one of his more “interesting” videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDr2NJPv8kE

No, but not everyone is perfect in every way as you apparently are. ;-)
Another poster nazi.
I totally don’t mind multiple posts.
I imagine I’m like most people. I scan only through the first page of posts, I don’t go through page after page of postings.
Also I’m not on FR 24 hours a day, so if an interesting story gets reposted I’m more likely to catch it. So multiple posts are fine with me. It would start to get irritating if they start appearing within the current page, but I’ve seldom seen that.
Does anyone else find it ironic that MoDo writes under this headline?
Thank you, yes, I AM perfect.
Sometimes. ;-)
I also use Clipmate to paste and copy and it does a wonderful job at accuracy.
Subtle, VERY subtle. LOL!
I was surprised that nobody (nobody who does such things) had posted the usual photo.
