I will go way, way out on a limb here and state that If Reagan were alive and in his prime, and running for the nomination, I would prefer Trump!

Yes, but he made a deal with a Dem Congress, expecting they would live up to their end of the bargain. They did not, giving us the current state of affairs. Based on his past statements and political contributions, you can expect a President Trump to make deals with Dems that will be equally disappointing.
