The retreat for national finance committee members comes at a time when Cruz’s fundraising team is taking on more moneymen in order to wage a long, expensive national campaign, in order to prevent Republican front-runner Donald Trump from locking up the delegates needed to win the nomination.
Interesting. Fundraising not to win the primary, but to prevent Trump from winning the primary. Pretty much an open admission Cruz’s campaign is nothing more than a spoiler. This is identical to what Romney said a few days back. They’re not talking about winning, just blocking,
It’s getting clearer and clearer that Cruz isn’t in this any more for the good of the country.
I’m pretty sure he’s hanging on now out of sheer spite.
His supporters too; they don’t support him any more. They just loathe Trump so much that they’ll burn the country down to deny him the nomination.
At least that’s what it’s turning into.
When Cruz is mathematically denied the nomination, I wonder what will happen then.
