“We want our followers to die. Me? I’m too important and will be captured and will sing like a bird”

Fu*kin ridiculous. They live, while prompting their followers to die.

I think it would have been a major blow if they caught him prior to the Paris attacks.

there they go with that Mastermind word again. As I remember that operation, they were pretty dumb in lots of ways.

I dunno if they say that for more dramatic effect or what. There is no “mastermind” involved in any of these cases. They are simply an organizer and most times, pretty crappy at it too

" The fact that they stayed stuck in the most obvious place to look suggests that ISIS doesn’t have other options in the EU, at least none for fully operative networks."

It also suggests they don't need to bother to hide themselves. Why was he still in Europe? Why not, he's probably in full compliance with their immigration laws.

They only are successful because the West refuses to do what is necessary to defeat them

> “...the mastermind ...”

Yes, Donald pointed this out in his past rallies and speeches that the media creates false impressions with false terms.

This is no ‘mastermind’. According to Donald, this was a no-good dirty rotten thug, not a ‘mastermind’.

Donald’s lawyer Michael Cohen also raised on primetime news a question of why the media uses the term ‘undocumented immigrants’ to describe persons in the United States who have violated its laws. The question confused the media host.

Terms used by the press are important and need to be challenged and made to describe the media as foolish which they are. It is important to push back on these matters because they are not trivial, they end up setting a narrative that weakens the public’s ability to discern true dangers.

-—”The fact that they stayed stuck in the most obvious place to look suggests that ISIS doesn’t have other options in the EU, at least none for fully operative networks.

So while this isn’t a body blow to ISIS as a terrorist quasi-state, it may cripple their ability to conduct operations in Europe, at least in the short term.”
___________

This writer must be totally naive to think that getting this one guy is somehow a blow to ISIS’s operations in the EU.

It’s a bizarre leap of logic that he ASSUMES that ISIS doesn’t have fully operative networks in the EU based on this one capture.

And saying that capturing this ONE guy “could cripple their ability to conduct operations in Europe” is ludicrous!

What about the thousands of ISIS Syrian “refugees” that were let into the EU recently?

This author is obviously smoking some delusional weed.

there’s always another mastermind in the wings. ISIS will exist as long as the caliphate exists, and the caliphate depends on occupying territory. unfortunately, there’s only one way to destroy that caliphate.

that’s why it was critical to prevent it’s creation in the first place.

Exactly right. Governments and media want this to appear more important than it is. The reality is that any terrorist, and by extension, any muslim can be a mastermind of independent operations. ISIS themselves have encouraged independent actions by believers.

We need to take back the dictionary from these people! They've been defining the terms for too long....

Notice how it goes from “major blow to ISIS” in the headline to “So while this isn’t a body blow to ISIS as a terrorist quasi-state, it may cripple their ability to conduct operations in Europe, at least in the short term.”

Or, it may not.

That's exactly right. The West is like a football team that plays defense only, and refuses to run an offense.

The Belgiques have ways of making their captives spill their guts. I'd bet he may be divulging the entire ISIS terror network in Europe.
