I kind of figured the reason for EU was Germany didn’t or couldn’t finance E Germany’s sudden ‘freedom’ on their own, so the EU was Germanys way of getting Europe to pay for it AND (my opinion) hopefully make the EU stronger than USA and get back at USA (Reagan) for breaking up USSR, thereby putting a ‘burden’ on Europe....?????
