JJ is easily the most unhinged and butthurt SoreCruzerman on this site. Most of us are convinced he logs on to FR instead of DU in his usual delusional and non coherent state. Whatever the leftists are spouting so shall JJ. The sooner you learn to ignore him/her/it the sooner youll enjoy youre time here again. Sam Adams summed that type of person up best and we can make the country great without them. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
That quote certainly aptly sums up a lot of things about where we are right now, doesn't it? There's another, something about oh how we burned in the camps - I don't know who wrote it - but it startled me. This one did, also. Thanks!!
I like to minimally respond but not engage people like JJ - they have to get their rage out - and it can't hurt to let them think they've scored here and there. But then I'm particularly nice :)

Yes you are and have infinitely more patience than me. Good for you too.. Wish I could be more like that. This place used to be my refuge to get me through lonely night shifts but I’ve been turning to sports much more frequently.

"That quote certainly aptly sums up a lot of things about where we are right now, doesn't it? There's another, something about oh how we burned in the camps - I don't know who wrote it - but it startled me." +++++++++++++++ Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn. It always bears repeating: And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward. ― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
