The amount of waste that goes on is enough to make one cry. We get A LOT of sun here in Colorado, but I don’t know enough about solar to know if it’s ever a feasible proposition or not.

The place looked like it was hardly working, if at all. Place looked decrepit, BUT somebody came up with the brilliant idea, somebody approved it and SOMEBODY paid for it.
SOLAR! What BRILLIANCE!
Gee i wonder WHO that somebody that paid is....
My light bill is outrageous, one of the highest in the country.
Reminds me of the frozen, rusted windmill farms, somebody paid for those as well, i wonder who...

It makes me really sad about the waste. I get no joy in reading about this Ivanpah place or any other place not working out and costing more money than it’s worth. Then how many more billions to pour into? Then how many more billions to dismantle it?

Wow-a liberal white elephant that underperforms miserably AND fries birds in the thousands-what a great investment...

$2.2 Billion in rooftop solar in those areas where sunny days are most common would have been a much betterdeal.Solar and wind power are best in small-scale on-site generation and use.

They will still be doing that 25 years from now after losses of 25 years in a row.

What a pathetic criminal joke on the taxpayers...and crispy-fried birds.
