Although I doubt there is much Melissa Click could have said to make me or others have a favorable opinion of her, I never dreamed that having been given the priceless opportunity to defend herself in the Washington Post she would disgrace herself once again. But that is clearly what she did. I wonder what the PR firm which she hired to rehabilitate her image thinks of this piece and the 99 percent negative comments?
Sadly, I think it all boils down to the fact that Melissa Click is simply not right for this era. She should have lived in Moscow in 1937, working as one of Yezhov's henchmen in an office with a 10-foot portrait of Stalin, rooting out "enemies of the people", real or imagined. Those of that era would have appreciated her talents more than we.
