“You are one of the idiots that lumps Social Security, which is earned according to each individual initial contract with government...”
Damn, did I miss signing something in my days of past? Where do I go to get out of said ‘contract’ and thus have my ‘payments’ stopped (I don’t even care about PAST payments)?
Or, are you one of those idiots that think any ‘promise’ by an elected official, using an illegal, unconstitutional program, with a flowery name, is valid?
Exactly. SS is not a contract but a tax that no future congress is obligated to continue to pay out any promised benefits.
Pardon my ignorance, but I thought I paid taxes.
Now I understand I’m *forced* to pay FICA, but nonetheless I did send money that was mine to the feds for something I didn’t ask for. And yes, I realize it’s a bad deal - I have contributed into a private pension system over my work career an amount of money almost equal to my Social Security payments, and my pension pay out would be at least DOUBLE what I’d get from Social Security, PLUS any pension funds left when I die will go to my heirs (if I die before I start collecting Social Security, all that comes back from what I paid (PAID. as. a. TAX) would be some lousy burial benefit of a couple hundred bucks. But every month for decades I have. paid. that. f’n. tax, (or whatever the hell anyone wants to call it) - I sure as hell am not going to feel guilty or exploitive about getting some of that money back. That situation is fundamentally different from that of a person who’s getting a Section 8 check or a food stamp card from those bloodsuckers in DC.
And maybe I”m a moron, but I’m unable to compute my withholding to the dollar year after year. I either underpay a little or overpay a little. Those years I overpay I get a check from the feds. If you’re able to calculate your tax perfectly, or keep your final payment below that that generates a penalty, more power to ya.
Great idea!
I will search not only that, but also, "When will Hillary go to Prison?" 2 or 3 times a day.
A little presumptuous, ya think?
Are you basing that assertion on your personal experience or mine?
Even in the face of the indolent getting welfare increases every year, while the SSI ( by the way, what does that stand for?) I have never railed at the injustice when, at the same time, regular Social Security was being robbed blind to transfer to more new welfare programs.
Good video. I wish the background music was at a lower volume.
