I understand your comment but had he forcefully removed his son from the mother’s home, I suspect the man would have found himself in jail, the boy would have been returned to his mother and the outcome would have been the same. Maybe not, we’ll never know. It’s a tragedy.

the way to do it is after taking the boy you cross state lines and deposit the child into child protective services. this does two things. it gets the federal government involved because you crossed state lines it also gets the jurisdiction of another state involved. there would be a thorough investigation because it could not be swept under the rug. unfortunately the father that does this might end up with a long prison sentence... if I thought I was in a no win situation with my child’s life being at stake I might do that.
