There are many liberal, socialist clergy in mainline churches, that play the same role. They have weaved themselves into powerful positions, and then little by little subverted Christianity.
This all started back in the 60’s. How else do you explain how the plain word of scripture can be abridged, changed, negated, and explained away by those in powerful positions of authority in the liberal churches and synagogues.
Power flows from the top down in these churches and synagogues. As long as members look to those in authority to dictate, rather than the Bible itself, problems will continue.
They teach love, charity, forgiveness, prosperity, but no repentance. For without repentance, there is no forgiveness. Without the blood, there is no forgiveness for sin. This applies to both Jew and Christian.
These clergy, both rabbis and pastors, have long departed from the truth. They have itching ears that seek only those in agreement with their liberal views, and denounce those who quote God's Word as heretics and Bible thumpers.
I have the same problem with those who throw out the Old Testament (Torah and Prophets), and look only to the New Testament to establish their churches. How do you build a Christian Church without the foundation of the Patriarchs, the Prophets?
The Gospels and the rest of the New Testament continually point to Yeshua’s fulfillment and the future of the Church, and of Israel. The Apostles used the Septuagint in their preaching. The early church observed Passover and the Jewish Festivals.
It was only when the church in Rome became powerful enough (with the Roman Empire's support), that a dictate came down to not celebrate Passover, the Sabbath, and the Jewish Festivals. This group then started to dictate the view that Christians were the real Israel, and hence by their authority as God's voice on earth, change and reinterpret His Word.
We have the same thing today. Dictates that we must conform to the current world view, and its debauchery. They preach acceptance of sin, and call good evil, and evil good. They protest those who stand against that which would destroy our nation, and support those who bring chaos.
These clergy, both rabbis and pastors, are ATHEISTS.
They work their way into phony “religious” positions to sell the standard, tired leftwing agenda.
