You keep saying that, but how does Cruz get the nomination?
He can’t. With Arizona next week, and the NE states in April, Trump will rack up another 300+ delegates. Cruz would need to win 110% of the remaining delegates. Cruz CAN NOT WIN.
The Rubio and Kasich delegates are not going to go to Cruz on the first ballot. They’re there to deny Trump an outright win. And is it goes to a second ballot, we’re getting the GOPe choice. Not Trump. Not Cruz. Establishment.
The choice is to get behind Trump and work together to beat Hillary in the fall, or play the contested convention game and get stuck with a Bush/Kasich ticket for the general.
Perhaps he will rack up 300+ delegates, or perhaps he won’t. With Trump’s penchant for shooting off his mouth, he’s his own wild card.
I know you want everyone to capitulate before the game is over... With Rubio now sidelined, the equations are different now.
I find interesting how there are such loud protestations here about Cruz’ continued presence “thwarting the will of voters... yet the voters of the remaining 1/3 of the states in the Republic have yet to be heard.
If you’re so sure of Trump emerging victorious.. .relax and let it all play out as designed.
