Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
That was Communist Goal #15 on the list from the Congressional Record of 1963. Fifty-three years of work certainly produces an overabundance of results.

The Socialists effectively captured the Democrat Party (or enough of it) in 1896. They drove out or purged the Bourbon Conservatives (President Cleveland was the last non-leftist Democrat) and Constitutionalists over time (1924 was the last year a non-leftist Democrat was nominated for President, that being ex-WV Congressman and Wilson’s Solicitor General John W. Davis, and the last time two Conservatives faced off for President from both parties).

The Communists effectively took control of the National Democrats in the radicalization period of 1968-1976.

Socialist “Progressives” made a play for the GOP in the 1910s (the split which allowed the execrable Wilson to win in 1912), they were on the losing end in the 1920s, but took over the party by the 1930s/40s. Even Eisenhower, who had been raised a Socialist by his father and was a yoot Democrat, effectively made the GOP Socialist when he refused to roll back nearly a quarter-century of “Progressive” Socialist big government (which had last been pursued by Conservatives Harding and Coolidge).

From then on, it has merely been (Communist) Democrats expanding their radical leftist agenda and the (Socialist) Republicans “managing” the enacted agenda. No substantive cuts have been made in over 9 decades. Not even our lauded Reagan stopped a thing. It’s a cancer devouring our nation, and it will kill it before long unless what few remaining good guys on our side slay it.
