Modern snowmobiles have evolved a lot from the ones we had 40 or 50 years ago. They are a whole lot faster and more powerful. I know Todd is extremely skilled but speed and power even in competent hands can still be very dangerous. My wife and I pray for his quick recovery.

It isn’t the speed and power, it’s the sudden stop! (8^P)

Hope he’s feeling better too. Our family has 7 snowmachines and some years we put 2k miles each on our favorite sleds. People ride them right from home, trails everywhere, no fences like back east. My 2016 wt skandic sure rolls over easy enough; unlike all my other skandics. They keep getting bigger too. Todd had an expedition I think, somewhat like the skandic with swing arms. I ended up under my skandic twice this year (early in the season) easy to do until the trail washouts fill in with snow. I had a heck of a time the second roll over; I was pinned down hill under sled and by myself, ha ha. I got out but blk and blu and sore for a week. Don’t worry, Todd will recover and be back to riding nx winter; everybody does it up here.
