SALT LAKE CITY — The GOP presidential primary debate scheduled for Monday has been canceled, a representative for the Salt Palace Convention Center confirmed Wednesday.
The debate was canceled following Donald Trump’s announcement that he wouldn’t be attending and a subsequent announcement from the campaign strategist for Gov. John Kasich that he wouldn’t attend without Trump.
The debate was scheduled well before Trump Trumped up the speech. Trump needs work on debates. Hillary will beat him like a drum in a debate. And if you think Megyn Kelly was rough on poor Donald, wait until the “moderators” in the presidential debate team up with Hillary.
Since the RNC set the maximum number of debates at 12 in 1/16/2015, I really don’t know how they could go on without the consent of all of the parties.
The RNC policy was established to limit the number of debates because the RNC determined it weakened the Republican nominee in the general election.

Why in the world should Donald Trump participate in a debate with 2 people who aren’t even a threat to him?
I haven’t watched the last 2 debates, because it became nothing but a media-initiated circus to pit the candidates against each other and try and bring Trump down.
I’m so glad there won’t be another one of these redundant spectacles, and we can thank Trump for that.

Trump is smart on this one. SLC is Romney territory and the morgbots are followers. It will be heckling, disruptions, etc. The focus will be on that, not the debate

He’s accomplished the job he was hired to do. You guys don’t get it do you? Hillary had no prayer against a united energetic republican party. But if the democrats could fracture the party and get us eating our own she had a chance. So Bill calls their friend DJT and asks him to run as a republican which he has never been. He sets his price they check with their international donors, they pony up and the game is on.
Trump uses his marketing skills to sell himself to angry, low educated, low info voters. Think Sham Wows. He becomes the racist, bigoted, misogynist face of the GOP with help from a compliant media. There are riots at his rally. He becomes more outrageous with every speech, but his followers never waver. The image of the party continues to deteriorate. Now that he has set the destruction in motion he can just set back and wait for the convention where he will either become the unelectable candidate who loses in McGovern like fashion or cause a total dismemberment of the party if he is denied. Either way Hillary wins, the country loses and DJT goes home a even more wealthy man and still a close personal friend of the Clintons.

I can’t take anymore of those debates. They were embarrassing. 1st, the minor candidate debates [kids table]; then, the major candidate debates [adults table]. Finally, whittled it down to some sorta sane number of candidates, and Cruz goes and eats that booger.
The deck was stacked anyway, between moderators and audience. Why WOULD anybody want, or consider, doing another one? I don’t remember any debates in history being this stupid.
