Three influential leaders in the conservative movement have summoned other top conservatives for a closed-door meeting this Thursday in Washington D.C. to talk about how to stop Donald Trump and, should he become the Republican nominee, how to run a third-party “true conservative” challenger in the fall.
The organizers of the meeting include Bill Wichterman, who was President George W. Bush’s liaison to the conservative movement, Bob Fischer, a South Dakota businessman and longtime conservative convener, and Erick Erickson, the outspoken Trump opponent and conservative activist who founded RedState.com.
"Please join other conservative leaders to strategize how to defeat Donald Trump for the Republican nomination,” the three wrote in an invitation obtained by POLITICO that recently went out to conservative leaders, "and if he is the Republican nominee for president, to offer a true conservative candidate in the general election."

Already panicking, they’re determined to hand it to Hillary or Sanders if Trump wins.

All a head fake. Ted Cruz is their guy. Just setting him up to be the “compromise” “unity” candidate.
They are stooges for the Cheap Labor Express, not conservatives.
They have been calling all kinds of people conservatives that do not want to conserve the country. The word is meaningless when it means abandoning the rule of law and surrendering the country to fraudulently documented foreigners and their employers.
Most of the propaganda we are bombarded with is to convince Americans to just give up their country without a fight.
If we don’t keep the rule of law, we lose the country.
The RNC/GOP has been able to deliver an amnesty candidate in every election since the last amnesty. They had an excellent playbook and even got McAmnesty and Romneycare nominated.
¡Yeb! was just so bad a candidate that they struck out even with $130 million.
And Trump.
I didn’t realize that Erick Erickson qualified as a top conservative..
Actually, he’s a big Ted Cruz supporter.
Trump of course being so deferential, self-deprecating and humble of course.
Words should mean things. Republicans should advocate a republican form of government (Hey, the Constitution actually does this). Democrats advocate mob rule, so at least they are more true to their calling.

This headline should ACTUALLY read:
“Top FAKE conservatives gather to plot third-party run against Trump”
I should also point out that if the other two are as “influential” as Erick Erickson, then the lead sentence:
“Three influential leaders in the conservative movement have summoned other ...”
is highly inaccurate as well, and should ACTUALLY read:
Three nobodies in the fake conservative movement have begged other ...”

I don’t remember any of these people getting together to strategize about stopping Obama. I don’t see any talk about stopping Hillary. What is it that has caused the world to align itself against Trump?

Interesting term used is ‘TOP CONSERVATIVES’ who among us feels these are top of anything but the heap in the land fill? This is more akin to the scraping of the bottom of the barrel amid the dregs.

I watched the documentary on Trump’s plane and his pilot. I thought at the time, now I know why I like this guy and why everyone in Washington is deathly afraid of him.
He is exacting, expects complete competence, notices the smallest detail and also expects his people to hand last minute changes of plan and still make it happen. He doesn’t accept second best on anything.
He will fire 3/4 of the people in Washington.
As millions walked away from Romney, millions will walk away from Trump by not voting or voting against him. It is very simple.
