Why the hell not? You’ve got ISIS supporters charging the stage and getting the kid gloves treatment, if Trump didn’t help that guy out, 78 or not he would get thrown UNDER the jail. Example.
You are assuming facts not in evidence by saying that the protesters are ISIS supporters. It could be as simple as the protesters don’t like Trump. I know that is difficult for a die hard Trump supporter to understand but it is quite possible.
And as for the guy, he violently assaulted and battered someone with a sucker punch. No different than playing the knock out game.
