You could say that, but then you would be wrong, and willfully blind. Heads up general election polls, at this point, mean exactly "nothing".

Sorry, misread your comment. Yes, you could say that, but you would be equally wrong as you would have been had you said what I thought you said. Were it not for Trump, the establishment would have absolutely no problem denying Cruz the nomination. He simply lacks any support outside of a relatively small subset of voters, and there is absolutely no chance, realistically, that he will gain traction outside of this group. Even if he were to win the nomination, and were to win the presidency (a monumental task for someone who has no appeal, and well-documented lapses in ethical judgment), his lack of public support would make it far too easy for the establishment to make his Presidency, effectively, a four year lame duck Presidency.
