For a master debater, he hasn't done too well against a neophyte, bombastic, un-polished, straight talker from Queens. I'm not sure where the lore about his debating skills came from, but I've heard better in high school and college debate clubs. Of course, that was in the '60, before dumbing down became the rule.
"the game should be played differently"
This isn't a "GAME"; we're fighting for the survival of the America and the Constitution my ancestors died for 250 years go. Not a game!
"he is using tactics which are his strong suit in attacking his opponents on each issue presented to him."
"Tactics" never should include (1) lying, and (2) trashing the Constitution by wanting to stifle free speech.
They (his tactics) arent always consistent, but through them an observer can discern his political basis, method of problem solving, and Presidential traits.
"his political basis" = i.e., no basis at all; no core beliefs; because of abject ambition, say/do anything to achieve your goal.
"method of problem solving" = again -- lying; trashing the Constitution; invading citizens' personal information to intimidate them; saying an opponent has dropped out expecting to gain some of his votes; begging for money on TV with his wife like a smarmier version of Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker; whoring to rich homosexuals for donations; not telling Texas voters he was a Canadian.
"Presidential traits" = non-existent. It's all about him; not the country.
Id much rather hear a proactive advancement of political ideas of one candidate or another, than another slap shot against fellow conservatives.
Sadly, that won't happen because the MSM who schedule the debates have set them up in a fight club format for big ratings. They have no interest in having candidates share ideas. They want, and get, a free-for-all -- and who's going to stop them? They have control over the airwaves. The print media have control in that area. We'll NEVER hear ideas. The best we can do is individual research.
At the beginning, I was for Cruz. Then Trump jumped in and the difference was obvious between a politician and a hard-working man who has actually done something in his life and had proven successes -- a true American. I changed from Cruz to Trump, but felt I could vote for Cruz. But that will NEVER happen.
That is for darn sure, I wish more people here would understand that and understand Cruz compromised his conservative principles by getting help from the despised GOP establishment, to help advance his political ambitions.
Cruz supporters really need to read this:
