I’m not going to join in attacking Cruz.
That is what I hate most about this place during primary season. The outright character assassination that many engage in of all but their personally chosen candidate.
I am really disappointed with how Cruz has handled these past couple of weeks though. I don’t expect him to have Trump’s back necessarily, but he came off to me as taking the side of BLM.
That was pretty disillusioning.

... and re Newt +100
The way things are going Trump will have the most delegates if he doesn't win outright. Any ticket that does not include Trump will be rejected by the grass roots right and is doomed to failure. And I believe the Republican Party will then effectively dissolve.
So, based on what we know and what seems likely, Trump must be the nominee or somehow be in support of a non-Trump ticket for the party to survive 2016.
The GOPe will learn to live well in a Trump administration. And they will live to fight another day. Feels like 1980.
