Carson endorsed Trump because Trump is the type Christian most of people are. Most Christians don’t go around waving a Bible and quoting scripture all the time, and lying through their teeth about other people. That is the precise reason Trump has won received more Evangelical votes than lying Ted. Plus Trump is seen as a natural who takes charge. Cruz is seen as just another lying lawyer who’ll say anything to get a vote.
Most Christians attend church and have at least a passing understanding of the Bible and a knowledge of scripture. Trump has none of that. As for the lying part, well, it's a wonder that none of the candidates pants aren't on fire.

Thank you!!! I was/am a Carson supporter. I see a Christian man who walks the walk, not some puritan caricature.
It is the height of Hypocracy to suggest Carson Endorsed him because of his type of Cristianity while out of the other side of your mouth cast aspersions at Cruz. In case you missed it CARSON admits that he wanted to make sure Trump didn't belive THE LIES he tells while campaigning.

No, it’s because Christian doesn’t mean the same thing it meant in the past.
Fifty years ago a Christian was at church at the drop of a hat, and was willing to drop the hat themselves.
Their bible was never far away and they sprinkled scripture into daily conversation.
Twenty years ago a Christian was at church on Sunday and recognised scripture when it was quoted.
Ten years ago a Christian made it to church for Christmas and Easter but couldn’t find their bible because they hadn’t seen it in years.
Now if someone goes to a church for a homosexual wedding or a funeral, that qualifies them.
Bible?
They are pretty sure they had one as a child.
Like everything else, the definition of Christian has been watered down so some people won’t feel bad about themselves.
