Will Anyone discuss how Trump actually intends to deport all those people? He is remarkably like Obama who promised to keep the seas from rising and to pay the rents of all his followers.
Fine employers who don’t check status
Cut food stamps, welfare
Make schools check status of children in schools
Stop being stupid and do what Ike did
If Ike could send them back so can Trump
Rush’s brother David is a Cruz bot. Even after Cruz sold out for the Bush support.
Yup. Don’t send them cheques. Don’t employ them. Don’t educate them. Don’t give them medical care. Don’t subsidize ANYONE in your country who is breaking your laws. Most will hit the road and get back before the wall is complete.
Correct. Ike had 6 million removed, give or take.
People will say, “but we may have as many as 30 million now, how do we deport that many?”
Easy. Do what Ike did 5 times.
To your points, all good.
I agree with you that you focus on removing the benefits will go a long way to solving the problem.
If you start using the RICO statute to criminally punish employers that hire illegals, to include civil forfeiture to confiscate assets of the employers, that would put a big chill on the employment front.
If you deny all benefits to illegals, that is also a good idea. If you then combine that with a ban on federal funds going to any state or locality that provides benefits to illegals, that is also a good idea.
If you start using the RICO statute to criminally prosecute any politician or local official that supports sanctuary cities, that is also a good idea.
If you enforce a 50% tariff on all wired funds being sent by persons located in the US to any person outside the US, that is also a good idea.
Overall, if Trump does things like this, then the benefits of sneaking across the border become much less than the costs of sneaking across the border. When the costs exceed the benefits, the activity ceases on its own, imo.
Trump is no Reagan and Trump is no Ike.
He will do nothing.
His actions belie his words.
One example; the J-1 Visas which Trump claims to be against.
Yet Trump’s hotel in Chicago has been a regular user of J-1 visas, according to workers at the hotel and Irish students who worked there. The nexus of the hiring has been the hotel’s elite Terrace Restaurant, though other J-1 students have been placed at reception and at other hotel eating establishments.
