I think you’re on to something there. They have nothing to gain by admitting they can break into any device. Much more to gain by making us believe we have a place to hide. Win Win by both Apple and the Feds. Apple continues to sell based on that point and the Federales can show some proof that they didn’t do anything illegal because they couldn’t. I hate being that cynical but there it is.

See link in my previous post. Not likely to have unknown back doors, especially considering the wide variety of vendors that would have to be compromised or in collusion with the government.
