Can’t remember where I say it, but it is the perfect analogy for what you apparently aren’t comprehending.
When two men share a foxhole, it’s OK if they disagree on some things—even those on the same side have disagreements. But, it’s not OK for one of the men in the foxhole to take the side of the enemy that is trying to overrun the foxhole and destroy everyone in it.
Cruz didn’t just disagree, he took the side of the enemy.

But he supported the communist who were trying to shut Trump up. This is not being neutral.
