“if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of ‘em, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell — I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise.”

This was the event Palin was at. I have no problem at all with him warning bad actors of possible consequences.

“Just like the left that said Palin was responsible for giffords being shot. Exact same thing,”

BOOM.

This isn’t grad school. It’s the internet.

But you did make me laugh.

Funny how I’ve seen Trump quoted, but they never included:

“if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of ‘em, would you?”

Action = Reaction.

These Cruzies don’t get it. Or don’t care more likely. They came for the Communists....

“Did Trump disrupt her free speech in any way?
EXACTLY how is this analogous to the protester’s disrupting Trump’s free speech?”

You are right.
He did not. He simply called into question the prudence of such an event.

It’s a tortured comparison.

“The responsibility lies with protestors who took violence into their own hands. But in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of the campaign. And when you have a campaign that direspects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence. When you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discourse.”

Allright, I just did your homework for you. Now tell me what that statement means? You talk about context, so if you have the integrity you pretend you have, then citing the first sentence while ignoring all the rest, is a cop out.

Let’s look at all of it together, and let me decipher it for you. The first sentence is what we call giving yourself plausible deniability. But that only works if the people listening are stupid or are in denial. When you’re first statement is to claim that the protesters were to blame, and then you spend the rest of your time making the opposite case, you know the first statement is there to give you cover, while the remaining comments represent the true intent.

Cruz tried to make a case of cause and effect between Trump’s actions and the violence of the protesters. And to do that he made false claims about Trump’s words and actions. The violence of the left was not a response to the words and actions of Trump that Cruz claims. Their violence is based on Trump speaking out for law and order, border security, stopping Muslim immigration, and a strong national economy. By blaming their violence on a supposed violent tone from Trump, he was excusing them. Real simple. No go ahead and spin.

Yep. A little revisionist history compliments of the GOPe. Watch the rallies and it’s pretty obvious these aren’t real threats. Just smack talk.

Allright, I just did your homework for you.

Framing your question fully is my homework? And, you put quotes around something that is not an exact quote. C-

Now tell me what that statement means?
I means just what it says.

No (sic) go ahead and spin.

Says the guy who used ~180 words to explain ~80 words.

Pamela Geller was certainly ahead of Trump. He seems not to have realized the danger posed by her and her supporters’ free speech being brutally attacked at the time. Now that the shoe is on his foot he has clearly evolved.

I support Trump. I said at the time he was wrong.

I also said at some point he would realize it. I wonder whether now is that time.

pam geller would be a great ally to have. I think trump’s ego is too great to admit he was wrong about her and have her advise him.
