There’s an old Bogart flick where Humphry prints an anti-government newspaper in France and the Vichyists riot and destroy his newspaper, killing his typesetter. Bogart is sentenced to life for inciting the riot and killing the typesetter, because he provoked the rioters into reacting as they did. This is the same bass-ackwards logic.

BTW, I liked Ted Cruz, and was all for him. I would love to hear his explanation, and hope it will exonerate him. But this line of reasoning is not valid.

People around here need to grow the hell up!

In this country there is NO EXCUSE for committing violence because of what someone else SAID.

The only exception to that law is when what’s said triggers the statutes governing self defense.

Period!

Do you think he'd have moved his newspaper offices to a safer location if he could have easily done so?
