Hmm, I couldn’t figure out what my ancestry had to do with the Census Form, so I just tell them how many people there are at the address in question, and I’m done.

I do genealogy work on my family, and I don't know why they used "where were your parents were born", but it has been that way for years.

BUT, those old census records sure help to be able to find and locate where your ancestors were born. If you do not put that on your census forms, please consider doing it for the generations to come.
