Really don’t see your point, but can tell you my mother who was a child in Europe during WWII has vivid recollections as have all of the seniors I have spoken to that were children here at that time, kind of burned in the memory.
Fwiw I am 70 plus and have an excellent recall of time back to 1950 plus my family hales from Italy. Her “recollection” of Benito is a story. My guess she is a long time social democrat and if not is ignorant if she considers trump to be a fascist.
