What was the “Squeaky” moment?
She tried to kill Gerald Ford.
She was an ex-manson follower who tried to shoot Gerald Ford at a rope line.
Squeaky Fromme (who was part of Charles Manson’s cult) pulled a gun on Gerald Ford in a crowd. She was in position to easily kill him, but a SS agent took the gun down.
I seem to remember a story about the agent taking the gun down while getting the web of his hand (next to the thumb) under the hammer of the semi-auto, so it couldn’t fire. Not sure if that is true.
