Yes, money supply #1, tariff increase #2, and the thing that perpetuated the depression as DeCanio shows was the minimum wage law first introduced in 34 as a part of NRA. Job growth, as measured by work hours crashed even worse than 32-33.

One of many intrusive laws coming out of the Depression. There was a whole raft of laws passed enabling bureaucratic regulators to control business.

Only to be matched by Lyndon Johnson’s even more pervasive intrusions into daily life courtesy of civil rights legislation. God forbid that average Americans not be controlled by someone.
