The pundits are wrong time and time again in analyzing who is going to get which demographic of votes. It is laughable how they suggest that when Rubio drops out some majority of his voters will go to Cruz. They also suggest that Bernie supporters will go straight to Hillary though many claim they will stay home.
In the end things are very random, like the weather.
Trump, who I was not going to support no matter what, is pulling a lot of this randomness to himself. Just like the random luck of a car that just happens to randomly run better than all of the rest.
I still like the analogy.

Exactly which candidate that support actually goes to is a different question. But the fact that a good chunk of it is going to go to some other candidate isn't debatable.
I do yea, the most conservative thing anyone could do would be to conserve their nations territorial integrity. Everything else would be secondary.

Ted Cruz has been bought by the Bush family and that means he has been bought by the Saudi royal family. Ted Cruz is a raging insider and has been for many years. What is happening here is that Neil can no longer bundle money for his brother who is out of the race. Because of that the Bush family has pivoted over to Ted Cruz and now Neil is bundling money for Cruz. Why? For the commission. That is all this is about when it comes to Neil Bush, money.

And why isn't that an attack against me not by Cruz supporters but by Cruz himself?
Trump has some positions that are conservative, like the wall. He has a lot that aren't, like opposing entitlement reform, not promising to shrink the size and scope of government, and universal health care coverage. Though he may have abandoned that last one -- I can't quite tell.

Nice try, well not really, but I try to be encouraging.
Trump is saying he’ll work with those responsible for the mess we’re in. Ted is joining forces with those responsible for the mess we’re in.
Republicans - at least some of them -- have promised border security but have not come through. Other Republicans favor cheap labor, or want to court Latino votes, or whatever, and so don't want to crack down on the illegals that are here. In some cases, they don't even support a wall.
When Trump insulted Mexicans, it was a signal to a lot of people that he wasn't bound by political correctness, and wasn't afraid to offend the Latino vote. To those folks, this meant that Trump's promises to build a wall should be believed more easily than those of other politicians. He already alienated any latinos for whom that was a big issue, so he really doesn't have a reason not to follow through now. I think there's probably some validity to that POV.
What I dislike is how those Republicans who were in Congress and did fight for more border security are being trashed by Trump supporters. It's not their fault that voters didn't send more like-minded people to Congress, and even The Donald is going to need Congressional support to make significant changes.
I think it's sometimes forgotten that Bush and the "GOP-E" did actually authorize the first 700 miles of that wall, and did pass legislation to double the number of border agents. It wasn't like they did nothing about the issue when they had the majority. They got the ball rolling.
No, Trump is asking for their support now, while the primary is still ongoing.
Cruz is trying to rally as many of them as he can to support him in the primary. That's exactly what Trump is doing, and neither deserves blame for trying to gather support. It's what they both should be doing if they're serious about winning the nomination and the general election.

What astounds me is that the Cruzers are still sticking with Teddy no matter what. If Trump did that I would jettison him immediately.

For Cruz to have a Bush speaking on his behalf now smacks of ESTABLISHMENT.
The "everyone is a RINO/GOP-E/establishment stooge except Trump and his supporters" is a complete dead end politically. It leads to us losing Congress, more Democrats getting elected, and having a guy as President who can't really accomplish much even if he really does intend to follow through on it.
And it's starting to feel like a vote for Trump is like awarding an inheritance to the kids who murdered their parents. It's as ugly as I've ever seen it, and that's includes in general elections.
Again. There’s calling for peace and working with (Trump) then there’s being them (Cruz).
I’d add the time for all that ‘can’t we all get along’ business is after the convention. Cruz is just bringing in the GOPe and hoping the majority of his conservative support doesn’t see the truth.
