That’s a rather long comment. Where in it do you find the Finicum roadblock would have been illegal?

welcome to basic law, all law is long and generally stupid to either complicate the matter or any attempt to prevent technicalities.

If you don’t understand the court ruling the video goes over why the roadblock was illegal and in more understandable way.

a. Persons whose identities are known, who can be apprehended at a future time, and whose driving or conduct does not create an imminent threat of serious physical injury or death, will not be the subject of a pursuit. The sole exception to this prohibition is if the reason for the pursuit was his/ her involvement in a life-threatening felony.
