A radioactive isotope linked to water from power plant cooling canals has been found in high levels in Biscayne Bay, confirming suspicions that Turkey Points aging canals are leaking into the nearby national park.

Turkey Point has been around a long time. We used to shrimp nearby as the shrimp would huddle up to the screens on the valves for warmth.

I take it you did some further research as my short post was lacking on detail.
My sister in law worked for a nuke plant down in South Texas. I remember a gathering they had invited us to, a company picnic. They had catch and release fishing. Hmmmm. Peaked my curiosity.
Come to find out, the retention lake had low level radioactivity and they did not want folks keeping the fish.

Unless you walk into some place and your skin curls up and you die in seconds then the official word will always be that Fukashima has not hurt a soul. As far as authorities are concerned- Not even one person has suffered ill Effects from Fukashima.
