O.K. but can you see how, IF Rubio and Kasich's supporters say that since their candidate is no longer running, they wish to support Cruz at the convention and that gives him >50% of the delegates....the base would be giving the most delegates to Cruz???

The whole point of electing delegates is so they can represent the base at the convention if it turns out their pledged candidate can't get enough support and they have to decide on other options.

I understand that you would be mad if that happened because you really like Trump but it wouldn't be "stealing" or "cheating" or "insider manipulation" or a cause for "war". It would simply be the regular nomination process when there are multiple candidates receiving sufficient support.

You are boring me.

If Cruz has the most voter awarded delegates at the time of the convention, then he should be the nominee.

Those people who awarded delegates to Kasich and Rubio lost, and they don’t get to change their vote after the fact.

I really don’t get what is so hard for you to understand about what I am saying.

If the GOP fails to nominate the person that its base indicated it prefers by the process of election in this primary, then the GOP will probably lose its base, or a huge portion of it.

It is not important to me if Trump loses. What is important to me is that the GOP not betray its base.
