Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump can add the support of two more billionaires to his recent whirlwind of momentum, one of which was shocked when a big donation he sent was returned by a Trump political action committee (PAC).
Andrew Beal and Thomas Barrack join Carl Icahn in the billionaire class supporting Trumps presidency. Beal, founder of Beal Bank in Dallas, once organized an attempted bankruptcy takeover of Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. with Icahn. Beal says Trumps outsider mystique, illustrated in a $100,000 donation returned to Beal by Trumps PAC, makes him different than the current crowd of lifetime politicians, report The Wall Street Journal.
There are no hard feelings, Beal told The Wall Street Journal. Hes smart and gets things done. I have never had a politician give me my money back.
He would adapt and come to logical conclusions thats my belief, Barrack told The Wall Street Journal. The rhetoric that seems harsh would dissipate.
Trumps billionaire supporters are exacerbated with Washingtons policies, which they argue are crippling business growth with burdensome taxes and out of control regulations. Beal says Trump would bring radical change to the government and will have the right priorities as a lifelong businessman. Icahn, who Trump floated as his secretary of the treasury, echos these sentiments, warning economic turmoil is ahead and Trumps business acumen and steady hand are what the U.S. economy needs.

Very interesting interview with Tom Barrack from Feb 1.
The rich supporting the rich. Not surprised.

Yep!
What is wrong with putting the brainpower that made them rich towards fixing the problems politicians have caused??
Don’t know much about Beal or Barrack, but Carl Icahn has a pretty sorry record with hostile takeovers and looting companies. Carl Icahn is not a donor I’d like on my resume, though he’s not as dirty as a Warren Buffet or a George Soros.
Trump obviously didn’t want his money, so he sent it back. It says that.
Trump has set himself up on a classic redemption curve. He came out as bad cop - very bad cop - and started the conversations that needed to be had. Now he is transforming more into a good cop. Watch what he says to the reporter that brought up the hands question;
Donald Trump Full Press Conference After Winning LA and KY (3-5-16) (20:57 in the video)

Anyone watching his rallies can see hes really cleaned up. Melania told Greta that she told Donald to stop using certain kinds of words;
Melania Trump: Im not a yes person ... I have thick skin

The whole video is worth watching!
After Trump is nominated, perhaps those donations should go to the other candidates who endorsed him?
Trump will need to build a team in Congress, might as well buy it with other people’s money.
“What is wrong with putting the brainpower that made them rich towards fixing the problems politicians have caused??”
Unless you’re the Koch Brothers, or whoever those billionaires are that endorsed Rubio and Cruz, or pretty much anyone else beside Trump. Right?
(The rich supporting the rich. Not surprised.)
You sound like a Bernie supporter.
Did you get lost on your way to DU??
It’s amazing how people disparage businessmen who want to pay back for the opportunity America gave them and support status-quo first term lawyer/politicians. Absolutely mind boggling.
Politically he couldn't afford to take it. His meme is that he is beholden to no one. If he was to accept this contribution that would be out the window.
It is very obvious who the political class is not supporting and that is no surprise either.
“You sound like a Bernie supporter.”
Most Trump supporters would be supporting Bernie if Trump wasn’t in the race.
Umm, okay.
These are the entrepreneurial wizards that will help advise The Donald.
