Billionaire Backs Trump After Shocking Surprise
Daily Caller ^ | 03/07/2016 | Steve Birr

Posted on 03/08/2016 8:58:00 AM PST by dynoman

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump can add the support of two more billionaires to his recent whirlwind of momentum, one of which was shocked when a big donation he sent was returned by a Trump political action committee (PAC).

Andrew Beal and Thomas Barrack join Carl Icahn in the billionaire class supporting Trump’s presidency. Beal, founder of Beal Bank in Dallas, once organized an attempted bankruptcy takeover of Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. with Icahn. Beal says Trump’s outsider mystique, illustrated in a $100,000 donation returned to Beal by Trump’s PAC, makes him different than the current crowd of lifetime politicians, report The Wall Street Journal.

“There are no hard feelings,” Beal told The Wall Street Journal. “He’s smart and gets things done. I have never had a politician give me my money back.”

“He would adapt and come to logical conclusions…that’s my belief,” Barrack told The Wall Street Journal. “The rhetoric that seems harsh would dissipate.”

Trump’s billionaire supporters are exacerbated with Washington’s policies, which they argue are crippling business growth with burdensome taxes and out of control regulations. Beal says Trump would bring “radical change” to the government and will have the right priorities as a lifelong businessman. Icahn, who Trump floated as his secretary of the treasury, echos these sentiments, warning economic turmoil is ahead and Trump’s business acumen and steady hand are what the U.S. economy needs.

“There are no hard feelings,” Beal told The Wall Street Journal. “He’s smart and gets things done. I have never had a politician give me my money back.”

“Most Trump supporters would be supporting Bernie if Trump wasn’t in the race.”

This is a pathetic and so agenda based statement it may as well have come from the GOPe as part of the lies and “by any means” campaign to stop Trump. Anyone who says such a thing doesn’t understand the Republican base. Which candidate is the one supported by someone who would say such a thing? They are dupes of the GOPe and such supporters who would say such a thing makes me suspect the selfish and Nixonian aspects of the candidate they support, and what kind of crazy ideas such a candidate is putting in their heads.

“That is about as far from the truth as you can get. Are you serious??”

And at the same time you are supporting Trump because he’s not bought and paid for right? Crony capitalism is alive and well in the Federal government. It’s being run like a business, benefiting certain businesses. Trump’s businesses included.

I kinda like the idea of SUCCESSFUL people getting together to get this ship turned around. Maybe you prefer the nonstop talkers, who don’t seem to accomplish a damn thing, other than talk.

I guess the poor down and out like only ‘some’ rich peeps.

What an odd world view.

Trump has called for tax increases on hedge fund guys like the one bankrolling Cruz.

Google search "Ted Cruz" "Robert Mercer" tax evasion

Mercer owes something like 6 billion in taxes.

“And at the same time you are supporting Trump because he’s not bought and paid for right?”

As I’ve said, I’m supporting Trump because of the brilliant and effective business brainpower he will bring to the oval office. The one that Barrack is talking about.

...."The rich supporting the rich. Not surprised."....

Business cronies against political cronies looks to be the real race ahead...... It's like watching Costa Nostra to determine who the new Don's are going to be on either side.....the ultimate "vote" when they gather at the Convention and usher in the man of the hour!

“And at the same time you are supporting Trump because he’s not bought and paid for right? “

That too commits the fallacies of strawman and too few alternatives.

You are making it about me personally. It’s NOT about me. People who move the goal posts from the issues to making it personal always seem to default to logical fallacies. It’s very predictable, and usually ends up at the lowest level fallacy -ad hominem personal attacks.

Dinesh looks to have made something very powerful here. I would hope he follows with a 2017 release detailing how the democrats infiltrated the GOP and steered it to become part of the get-rich quick Uniparty.

Judge Janine said it best “how is that so many of modest means go to Washington and come out multi-millionaires?”

The rich supporting the rich. Not surprised.

Ha! I guess you’ve looked at the PAC’s supporting CRuz and the other GOPee candidates. That’s where you’ll see RICH.

It won’t do any good to post facts, to the CRuzer’s.

Open Borders/Amnesty donor money to CRuz = GOOD

Trump self funding, ENDORSED (not funded by billionaire) = BAD

We’re in complete upside down, bizarro land with these folks...who support Open Borders/CFR loving candidates/hacks/donors, over the first anti-globalist we’ve had, in decades :(

Btw...have you come across a statement by CRuz disavowing all of the GOPee/Romney/Open Borders PACs disenfranchisement of the Trump voters? Surely, they’re ‘better than this’. (I know, I shouldn’t call you Shirley :)
