Billionaire Backs Trump After Shocking Surprise
Daily Caller ^ | 03/07/2016 | Steve Birr

Posted on 03/08/2016 8:58:00 AM PST by dynoman

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump can add the support of two more billionaires to his recent whirlwind of momentum, one of which was shocked when a big donation he sent was returned by a Trump political action committee (PAC).

Andrew Beal and Thomas Barrack join Carl Icahn in the billionaire class supporting Trump’s presidency. Beal, founder of Beal Bank in Dallas, once organized an attempted bankruptcy takeover of Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. with Icahn. Beal says Trump’s outsider mystique, illustrated in a $100,000 donation returned to Beal by Trump’s PAC, makes him different than the current crowd of lifetime politicians, report The Wall Street Journal.

“There are no hard feelings,” Beal told The Wall Street Journal. “He’s smart and gets things done. I have never had a politician give me my money back.”

“He would adapt and come to logical conclusions…that’s my belief,” Barrack told The Wall Street Journal. “The rhetoric that seems harsh would dissipate.”

Trump’s billionaire supporters are exacerbated with Washington’s policies, which they argue are crippling business growth with burdensome taxes and out of control regulations. Beal says Trump would bring “radical change” to the government and will have the right priorities as a lifelong businessman. Icahn, who Trump floated as his secretary of the treasury, echos these sentiments, warning economic turmoil is ahead and Trump’s business acumen and steady hand are what the U.S. economy needs.

“There are no hard feelings,” Beal told The Wall Street Journal. “He’s smart and gets things done. I have never had a politician give me my money back.”

“I have never had a politician give me my money back.”

Watch. They’ll pass a law against that.

Sanders was a bum until he became mayor of Burlington. Then he met his wife who made him a millionaire. He went south to help the Sandinistas who are communists, just as Hillary sent them $100,000.00 Both of these democrats are communists. I doubt Trump supporters would support either democrats. We’re Americans and believe in the American Way, Freedom, Self sufficiency, they want the government to take care of you from cradle to grave, but you will pay along the way, with poor government, except for the leaders and they will live the high life.

A few influential billionaires in NYC politics need to pick up the phone to a few offices and say “I want Donald Trump” now and for the general, and it’s over.

Nothing, except you hypocrites have been screaming about Cruz getting support like this for 6 months.

How much did Cruz return so he wasn't beholden for favors....ZERO.

There is a difference between taking advise vs. taking money....but you know that, right?

and every one of them has a hangman noose attached to it. You are making the implication of nefarious aims. There is nothing nefarious about it. Straight up, these people know what is killing our economy and country. They have tried for only so long to change the system as it was but now are saying the hell with it and making the attempt to doing it their way. Because they, as well as us serfs, know it is futile to trust any politician and lawyer who relies on other peoples money to propagate a platform, no matter how good it sounds, like every time before this it has been tried.

“What is wrong with putting the brainpower that made them rich towards fixing the problems politicians have caused??”

Nothing. Especially when those politicians have, for the most part, never been in the private sector. They haven’t got a single clue as to the real life effect of the laws that they pass, let alone the regulations that are promulgated by unaccountable bureaucrats (who also haven’t spent time in the private sector, and have LESS of a clue than the pols). On top of that, the pols aren’t even spending their own money, and they don’t care how much they spend because there’s always more from the Skittles-shitting unicorn.

ENOUGH! Time to burn down the house and start over. Time to have some people that actually have worked for themselves and been incredibly successful to put that talent and drive to work for us. THAT will be their legacy, not their millions or billions.

He is going to need their money for the main campaign against Hillary or Bernie. If the GOPe really gets nasty in the next couple of months he may need their money to help combat the onslaught.

That’s the way I see it. Trump doesn’t need the aggravation. He chose to step out of a comfortable life and try and fix things.
