In America, go to any bank, pharmacy, government agency, doctor’s office, real estate office, public school (teachers and administrators), hospital, travel agency,...you name it, and the vast majority are female. Next are black/brown female and black/brown males, and the bottom 5% are split between white straight and homosexual men.
Never any fear of the EEOC or guilt of their obvious gender and/or racial bias. Forty years of anti white male propaganda have made it woven into the fabric of our society.

You are quite right. We are expected to carry the load on our shoulders with little hope of promotions or even recognition. We have a sense of obligation, so we do it. But, when we retire or die, I know that there have been almost no Millennials who have stepped in to replace me. They live in the cube farms and become the 30 year old managers who giggle at us 50+ year old managers, but none of them know how it all works.
When Gen X leaves the workforce, the lights will go out and the water will stop flowing.
