Republicans should be focusing on supporting their front runner in the general election, instead of plotting to sink his nomination, making the general election a cake walk for Hillary.

I think we’re missing a major point. As long as the “leaders” in the RNC retain their positions in Washington they don’t give a damn whether their party’s candidate wins or not,. Romney, McCain, Dole, just empty suits to fill a spot on the ticket so these individuals can justify their spot at the trough.
Trump or Cruz or Rubio as President is only the start. Unless the states these leeches supposedly represent are willing to remove these growths the problem of unresponsive government will still persist.
Not just the Presidency but also control of the RNC should be our ultimate goal if the Constitution is to survive...

Id love to see Cruz make a deal with Trump. I know there’s bad blood. But things could be smoothed over. Cruz has no real path forward. The caucus states are done and he will never win in states like Michigan Ohio Illinois etc. He is just being used by the elites in order to stop Trump.
This way Cruz gets on ticket and the NeverTrump people who are in the conservative establishment (Red State Hot Air CPAC etc) would get behind the team and it would screw over the Republican establishment (Fox News Weekly Standard Club for Growth etc) and their plans to draft Romneycare.

The elites still don’t get it.
Every action they take to influence the outcome of the primary elections just demonstrates why conservative hate their guts.

If Hillary wins, Trump is the only loser—well, him and the country. The Uniparty stays intact, GOPe and Dems. No one else loses. Game over for good for any outsider not in the donors’ pockets.

Other governors voiced exasperation not only at the prospect of a Trump nomination, but at the political culture that gave rise to his candidacy.
Weve got this Enquirer magazine mentality, Utah Gov. Gary Herbert said in an interview. We are subject to this reality TV voyeurism that is taking place. Fast-food headlines, no substance, all flash. The Twitter atmosphere out there, snarky comments on email, Snapchat. Everything is superficial.. . .Weve got to wake up, America.
This governor is a fool. GOP establishment types like this do not get why Trump is leading the race for the nomination, and I'm tired of waiting for them to get a clue. The GOP establishment can't deal with Trump's rise in any way aside from deriding and insulting the conservative base that they've betrayed repeatedly.
