Behind Trump's CPAC deal gone bad
Politico ^ | March 4, 2016 | Kenneth P. Vogel

Donald Trump spent five years building a mutually beneficial relationship with the organization that hosts the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, filling its coffers with at least $150,000 in cash and scoring coveted speaking slots that started him on a course towards winning the Republican presidential nomination.

But he ended up canceling what would have been his biggest CPAC speech at the last minute amid plans for protest and disruptions, apparently deciding that his surging presidential campaign no longer needed any boost from the once-storied group.

You just expose yourself as a tin foil hat guy by lumping me into your conspiracy theories.

No, that PASS-ALONG VAT is a VAT on the consumer. You really don't understand what you're attempting to peddle. I have been posting about this, here, since the late '90s, done the research on FLAT and FAIR tax plans, VATs, combinations of these things, ad nauseaum, and if you care for me to do so, I can easily ex[plain the intricacies between/amongst various European tax income tax plans, VATS, and some things you are unaware of.

That's what Cruz claims; however, Forbes, Kudlow, and a myriad of others, whom I trust far more than Cruz or one of his supporters, like Trump's plan the best.

No, everything that comes here, from overseas does NOT have to meet our quality control. If that was the case, many children would not already have been sickened bu crayons made in China, dolls that contain lead paint, etc.!

A Tariff is a tax, yes. China and other nations, put tariffs on OUR products, to keep them out of their country/ies. TIT FOR TAT is all that Trump is proposing. Though actually, he is mostly aiming at American companies opening plants in Mexico.

Cruz is a good parrot. He's spectacular at memorizing stuff. He's basically a one trick pony, who has no vision, no ideas of his own, and just as he pilfers Trump's words and positions, his tax plan was not only NOT his own, he doesn't even understand it!

How old are you?

Do you have any children and or grandchildren?

Smartphones are NOT "awesome, dude"; nor are they life-saving devices! Oh they may be, in certain, extremely RARE instances, but they are truly just a mind numbing device, which causes much more harm than any good you can give me an example of.

Perhaps good old fashioned common sense sounds "old" to you; it is a rather rare commodity these days.

VAT - We can be just like Europe 20 years ago. Look where they are at today.

Cruz has INCREDIBLE vision, and incredibly well-researched and thought-out positions on every issue. Trump not only stole Cruz’ positions, he did so after holding the exact opposite positions. Trump is an absolute JOKE when it comes to consistently believing in anything. There is simply no way you can explain away Trump supporting legalization just 3 and a half years ago, then saying he’s for complete deportation in the primary, then saying he will bring back the good ones in expedited fashion, then signaling he will negotiate away any deportation at all in his “deal.” This video shows when he was for Gang-of-8 style amnesty the same as Rubio was:

http://therightscoop.com/2012-trump-on-illegals-we-have-to-have-some-compassion-we-cant-just-throw-everybody-out/

Every business tax is a tax on the consumer. That’s why this replaces the corporate income tax and payroll tax. The overall taxes are lower for everybody, and it eliminates the possibility of crony deductions.

Analysis from multiple sources shows Cruz’ tax plan generates more growth than Trump’s:

http://taxfoundation.org/blog/why-marco-rubio-and-ted-cruz-s-tax-plans-generate-more-growth-donald-trump-s

We do not allow importing of lead paint. Don’t be ridiculous. That happened once and the products were immediately recalled.

If China wants to tax their citizens, we should NOT follow suit. All Trump said is he’d tax any company who opened a factory overseas. It has nothing to do with tit for tat.

That VAT tax goes right along with Cruz's wife's New World Order, Open Borders agenda...

A VAT tax should ring alarm bells to the ‘Bell Curvers’...

Exactly so.

The sad fact is that many people fall for all kinds of things a slick pol offers. They don't wonder just WHERE the idea came from, what it means in REAL LIFE, to them, but with enough sugar coating and abject lack of knowledge they just gobble it all up.

Please answer my questions....HOW OLD ARE YOU ?

DO YOU HAVE ANY CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN ?

First of all, lead paint HAS been found in many different children's toys. Because you don't know about doesn't make that fact disappear! There are also contaminants that we don't allow, in crayons, made in China!

You don't keep abreast of the news, you have no idea what's happening outside of the tiny bubble you live in, and keep; refusing to accept easily looked up, hard, cold facts.

Trump has stolen NOTHING at all from Cruz; it is the other way around. When Trump was asked to appear before Congress, to talk about business, tax, tariffs, and the state of our economy, decades ago, when little Ted was still a schoolboy, he laid out many of the same things/positions he says today!

Cruz has NO "vision" at all. He is a little johnny one note, who has never run a business, let alone a business empire. He has NEVER had to deal with the higher ups of any nation, know foreign laws, especially trade laws, NEVER had to deal with unions, union leaders, nor anything at all about Wall Street, financial dealing, both foreign or domestic, and needs help filling out simple government forms, which he messes up either on purpose ( to hide things ), or because he's just not capable !

Cruz hasn't lead nor overseen ANYTHING outside of a court of law and he most assuredly hasn't managed to learn anything during his now mostly absenteeism from the Senate!

And THIS is whom YOU want sitting in the Oval Office? WHY ?

His advisers are old Bush hands and some crazies.

He is incapable of dealing with the likes of Harry Reid, Mitch the turtle, and yet YOU imagine that he could deal with the foreign heads of state, the military ( at least Trump went to military school and has studied famous generals and what they did ), and Congress....many of whom HATE him.

He has no idea about the budget, the deficit, nor our debt.

Go ahead, vote for him, in the primaries; fat lot of good it'll do you. LOL

Cruz will NEVER be president and he'll be extremely lucky to win re-election; which as it stands now, is doubtful, should he be primaried.

Your pathetic post is full of propaganda, your own delusions, and other people's opinions. It's HOGWASH!

Sadly those who post about the VAT don't understand it at all and believe in unicorns and fairies dancing in sun beams.

At each step of the way, the product is taxed. So by the time it reaches the consumer, it is not only HEAVILY taxed, it is hidden taxes!

Yep, they seemed to have learned what the donor class already know, which was that MONEY TALKS and if they give money to Republicans...they will get results.

Charles Keating (of the Savings and Loan Scandal days - about 30 years ago now) was asked if his payoffs to politicians (i.e., bribes) had any effect on their policy decisions. His famous answer: “I certainly hope so.”

Fact after revealing fact....after viewing this stunningly brilliant exposé on Ted Cruz, it is difficult to believe any true blue patriot would remain an unabashed Cruz supporter.

“No, the question is: WHY are YOU so interested on male genitalia ?”

Ironic considering that it is your candidate who was comparing the size of his genitalia during a Presidential debate.

Trashy AND projecting.

“unless the Organizers were in on the Trump diss. If they were in on it I would say that isn’t a Conservative trait and they outed themselves as nothing more than Establishment Hacks.”

I read that yes, indeed the organizers were organizing to needle Trump with embarrassing questions. He was smart to not subject himself to it.
