National Poll: Clinton, Sanders Both Top Trump

By Jennifer Agiesta, CNN Polling Director Wed March 2, 2016

Both of the remaining Democratic candidates for president easily top Republican front-runner Donald Trump in hypothetical general election match-ups, according to a new CNN/ORC poll

Clinton tops Trump 52% to 44% among registered voters Washington (CNN)Both of the remaining Democratic candidates for president easily top Republican front-runner Donald Trump in hypothetical general election match-ups, according to a new CNN/ORC Poll.

But Hillary Clinton, who is well ahead in the Democratic race for the presidency, would likely face a stronger challenge should Florida Sen. Marco Rubio or Texas Sen. Ted Cruz capture the Republican nomination for president.

In the scenario that appears most likely to emerge from the primary contests, Clinton tops Trump 52% to 44% among registered voters. That result has tilted in Clinton's favor since the last CNN/ORC Poll on the match-up in January.

But when the former secretary of state faces off with either of the other two top Republicans, things are much tighter and roughly the same as they were in January. Clinton trails against Rubio, with 50% choosing the Florida senator compared to 47% for Clinton, identical to the results in January. Against Cruz, Clinton holds 48% to his 49%, a slight tightening from a 3-point race in January to a 1-point match-up now.

A vote for Trump is a vote for Hillary. Or Bernie.

He’s not electable. No one likes him but his core.

Well IF Trump is losing to Clinton and Bernie, then you know that Cruz and Rubio is losing very badly to her!!!

Isn’t CNN the poll that Trump said was the trustworthy one just the other night?

WHOA hold your horses!

Registered Voters. Not likely voters. That means Hillary is in deep doo doo with likely voters.

Plus it’s BS they want Rubio and that’s what this is all about.

CNN would actually have to poll at least 10,000 likely Republican voters...as well as Dems...to even make a stab at such an outlandish claim.

CNN factored in the illegal alien vote. Clinton wins if/when that happens.

If they wanted a more accurate result (well can’t have that if it doesn’t fit the narrative) they would have screened likely voters instead of registered voters, imo.

If either Cruz or Rubio is the candidate the media which has been really easy on both, will turn their big guns on whichever is the nominee and blast them out of the water. Neither Rubio or Cruz has displayed any indication that they will do any more to fight Clinton than what McCain and Romney did against 0bama. It takes both of them, back up by the moderators to fight Trump, and so far, they’ve been relatively ineffective even at that.

Does anyone here actually think that Rubio or Cruz would attack Clinton on her 8 years as a senator which she only renamed 2 post offices and a street? Will either of them attack her for getting a child molester off? Does anyone think that either will take Clinton on about her silence about the report that 80 percent of women and girls coming across our borders are being raped by the human traffickers? or take her on about her silence about the Muslim rapefest in Europe? With Trump, nothing will be off limits.
