Republican Combat Vet: Trump Is Openly Advocating War Crimes
Buzz Feed ^ | 03/04/2016 | Christopher Massie

Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, a former Air Force pilot who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, said on Thursday that Donald Trump is openly advocating war crimes that would cause the soldiers who obeyed his orders to be jailed.

“If you’re a private in the field and your major or your colonel orders you to do something that is a war crime, you actually bear responsibility, you can’t say that the colonel made me do it,” said Kinzinger, who is supporting Marco Rubio. “What Donald Trump, as wanting to be president of the United States is advocating, is a war crime that would force every soldier that did, i.e. killed the relatives of terrorists, tortured regardless of whether it not it works, the things that he’s advocating would force all of these people in jail.”

Speaking on the Steve Cochran Show on Chicago radio, Kinzinger argued that Trump was either “all bluster” or comparable to Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.

“Now, you have to do one of two things,” he said. “You either believe that Donald trump is all bluster which most people do but for some reason they like that, or you take him at his word in which case he is advocating, like what Benito Mussolini did, war crimes.”

Kinzinger also said that what Trump was calling for “makes me sick.”

“For the leading Republican presidential candidate to advocate war crimes, which he does openly, just advocates war crimes, doesn’t matter, makes me sick really,” he said. “Especially as somebody that’s defended the country. It’s just terrible.”

Later in the interview, Kinzinger said, “I can’t see myself supporting Donald Trump. I never say definitively because who knows in the future. But I have no intention of supporting Donald Trump.”

As for his preferred candidate, Rubio, Kinzinger said he felt “pretty good” about the Florida senator’s chances of winning his home state’s primary, but that “I’d definitely rather be in Trump’s position politically.”

Its kinda the reverse there grampa. Getting senile or a little dementia setting in?

IT workers are regularly replaced by H1Bs. Its hardly in their favor.

So which version of Trumps policy is he going to push. During the debate he said he was getting more flexible and supported H1Bs.

I hear you buddy.. this forum has gone to the dogs - mostly as result of all new Trump cultists. These cultists are not conservatives. They are one-issue voters and frankly most are probably racists who come to heel whenever the Donald blow’s his whistle...which I’ve heard is quite small.

Will never vote for the Donald and coming close to closing my account here, which I’ve had since 2004.

“And the other thing is with the terrorists, you have to take out their families. When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families. They care about their lives. Don’t kid yourself. But they say they don’t care about them. You have to take out their families,”
-Donald Trump

I may not have said it in Trumps terms, but I can't say I disagree. Terrorists beget terrorists.

It was their wives ululating as the towers burned and laughing as men burned on a bridge in Falluja...

It is their male children who grow up to burn people alive or drown them in cages, who rape boys, and chop heads off of innocents..

It is their female children who grow up to breed more of the vermin.

All they will understand is what Trump suggests.

RE: While many would like to see him deport all illegals, it is simply impossible to do legally.

That’s what John Kasich has been saying from the beginning.

Do you remember his talking about the 9/11 families of the terrorists last night? They were his example of what he meant.

He had the details of the families wrong, but he had the point right. Knowing relatives were permitted to flee when they should have had to account.

That's him answering a question other than the one that is being asked.

Look, the quote has been provided multiple times. He talked about "taking out" the families of terrorists because "they care about them". That is something completely different from saying that we should hold for questioning family members of known terrorists. You're focusing only on one remark in one context but ignoring the broader statements he has made.

He's had a million chances to come out and say "no, I am not talking about taking out someone just because they have a family member who is a terrorist." He hasn't said that. At least, not that I'm aware.

The usage of the .223 round is a war crime.

The usage of drones to attack which kill 10 non-combatants for every one combatants is a war crime.

The Obama administration kicking Stg. Charles Martland out of the military Is a war crime.

Funny you don't hear about theses......

I’m like a democrat? Segregating?

Oh yes, if someone comes on and says they’re combat pilots and are against a republican. I am definitely going to do the research. Is he academy? Was he a first assignment fighter pilot? Second? Did he fly bombers? Transport? Reconnaissance, tankers? What did he go through? Who are his buddies of the same mind?

That’s what everyone does. They say, a combat fighter pilot, obviously with friends in that community, is calling trump a Mussolini. What’s that? Fighter pilots hate trump? Wow

I investigate. A quick search of wiki shows he is primarily lined up with Rubio with no ties whatsoever to combat fighter pilots

I take great offense to this guy misrepresenting himself. He represents himself as a combat pilot against trump. He’s speaking for all combat pilots stating that trump is to be seen as Mussolini

The words, by the way, that republicans use against other republicans are so harsh. Never do these pussies go after democrats, ISIS or illegal invaders with a fraction of the force with which they go after other republicans by the way

It is prick

But he misrepresents the situation and himself

Please read what one of his supporters said in post 143. She is interpreting his statements the same as the rest of us, and she is not alone. She just sees the morality a bit different from those of us she’d expect to pull those triggers.

Well, yes, yes he is advocating war crimes.

That's why we need to legalize them...as our adversaries have.

Should we dismantle all our nukes because using one would be a war crime, as now defined, no matter the circumstances?

Should we foreswear the use of nukes under any and all circumstances because their use, in every existing definition, is a war crime?

This dimwit Congressman has just found a new and novel way to "Stop Trump!" and also shows he'll never be fit for higher office.

His argument is bullshit on it's face.

You won’t get anywhere handing out lollypops to terrorists.

There is a big difference between targeting terrorists and targeting their families.

This family thing IS valid. When Germans attack French, they do so knowing that German Mothers will die.

When Saudi’s wear masks and cut off American heads on Youtube, they do this knowing their Saudi Mother faces no ramifications.

It is legitimate to make your enemies take responsibility for their actions.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois stood by and turned his head to the 2015 importing of Muslim rapeUgees/killers? into America and his homestate of Illinois. In fact he supports the open borders Rubot, who hates Americans.

In 2015 a large # of Muslim Rapeugee/Killers? were relocated in Illinois:

IL Aurora 190
IL Chicago 1,595
IL Moline 200
IL Rockford 300
IL Wheaton 2,660

Just under 5,000 for a total of 4,745 if my math is correct.

Thanks to open border thugs/buddies, like this congressman, Muslim RapeUgees/killers? were located in America in 2015!

Beside cheap labor, we have another real danger to innocent Americans:

Were Muslim RapeUgees/killers resettled in your hometown or nearby in 2015?

Take a couple of minutes and go to the link below to see if $inators and Obama moved rapeugees/killers? into or near your home city.

Which Cruz policy is going to get pushed? The one he has on his Senate Website or the one on his Presidential Campaign wesite?

BTW, drop the childish Isults and maybe people will take your postings seriously. All you accomplish with the snarking infantile insults is alienate the people you need to be voting for your guy.

From Cruz Senate website.

Which Cruz do I believe? The Senator or the Presidential Canidate

Sen. Cruz Presents Measure to Strengthen, Improve Legal Immigration
Offers amendment to increase H-1B visas to help improve, retain high-skilled labor force
May 14, 2013
|
press@cruz.senate.gov / (202) 228-7561

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) today presented an amendment to the Gang of Eight immigration bill that would improve our nation’s legal immigration system by increasing high-skilled temporary worker visas, called H-1B visas, by 500 percent. The measure would effectively address the needs of our nation’s high-skilled workforce by helping meet the growing demand for workers in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. It will also make block grants available to states to promote STEM education efforts and increase domestic STEM professionals. The committee voted against the amendment 4 to 14 with every Democrat voting against it on a party-line vote.

“I strongly support legal immigration. Legal immigration is a fundamental pillar of our nation’s heritage, and I was pleased today to offer legislation that would have improved and expanded legal immigration by dramatically increasing the cap for high-tech temporary worker visas. This amendment would not only improve the current system, but would also encourage economic growth and create new jobs in America. There is currently a serious shortage of workers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math, yet every year we send thousands of high-tech graduate students back to their home countries to start businesses and create jobs. This makes no sense. I’m disappointed in the committee’s vote to reject expanding high-tech immigration. Although the Gang of Eight’s bill makes a modest step towards improving high-tech immigration, it does not go nearly far enough. There is no reason to arbitrarily cap high-tech visas at 110,000 when these jobs are going unfilled. We need economic growth here and now.”

Sen. Cruz’s amendment would:

Immediately increase the H-1B cap by 500 percent from 65,000 to 325,000.

To truly fix our broken immigration system and take into account our nation’s economic needs, we must put more emphasis on increasing employment-based immigration. There is a current shortage of qualified high-skilled workers in the U.S., with an estimated 230,000 advanced-degree STEM jobs going unfilled by 2018.
Additionally, more H-1B workers mean more jobs for American workers – according to a study by the American Enterprise Institute, for every additional 100 H-1B workers, 183 jobs are created for U.S. citizens.

Help retain the high-skilled workers that are trained in the U.S. by allowing “dual intent.”

This would allow foreign students at U.S. colleges and universities to enter the U.S. on a temporary H-1B visa if they intend to get a Green Card once they complete their studies.
Currently, about 300,000 students come to America annually to be educated, but are required to return home upon completing their education.

Create block grants for states to promote STEM education in their public schools by raising H-1B fees.

These block grants will encourage educating our children in these high demand fields, opening more doors of opportunity to future generations. According to the Joint Economic Committee, between 2010 and 2020, demand for STEM graduates is expected to grow by 17 percent, while employment for those graduates will increase only 14 percent, partly because American graduates are not available or qualified to fill these jobs.
The block grant program would be funded by raising H-1B fees from $750 to $1,250 for businesses with fewer than 25 employees, and from $1,500 to $2,500 for those with 25 or more employees.

Both of you raised the same point about air strikes that kill family members as well, which is an argument I already addressed in post 66. Feel free to read it.

Simply put, there is a difference between collateral damage and deliberate targeting.

.... What a traitorous piece of garbage.
Does DT not know his proposals are against the law? Or does he think he will be king and laws won’t matter?
Torture and purposeful killing of civilians in war are against the law.
Reminds me of the debate DT called Cruz the p word - after Cruz said waterboarding was enhanced interrogation not torture, but failed to jump on the torture bandwagon.
