Obvious to anyone who has owned a business. We have a lot of FReepers who don’t know jack diddly about how business works. Not their fault, but it tarnishes their view of things quite a bit.
The Asian nations have all played the same game of blocking our exports and subsidizing their exports by many methods. Currency,duties,taxes,non tariff barriers and financing to mention a few. We have just let them do it.
You can add all the career politicians and K Street gang to that list.
It is amazing how many apparently have some type of government related job and claim to be so conservative.
As a former business owner, now retired, IMHO, every American citizen should have to run a business, be responsible for generating enough revenue to keep the employees paid and the doors open, and put up with all kinds of silly crap from the Feds. Would give them a whole nother way of looking at things :)
Reminds me of a couple of lifetime union gals who, when their shop closed, set up an ice cream/lunch diner.

Lazy, dumb, employees, help eating up the profits, help not showing up or even calling in, taxes, regulations etc., etc., etc.
I think by the end of the second summer they were out of there. Just goes to show, it it isn’t as easy as they, or anyone not in the business thinks it is.
