When the FBI launched their investigation of the incident, the first person they interviewed was Sheriff Gillespie. The second interview was with asst Sheriff Lombardi, who was in charge of the scene there on April 12, 2014. All of Police/Sheriff officers on the scene were interviewed.

People lose sight of the fact that local law enforcement were the first to be threatened that day by Warlord Bundy and his militia.
